Episode One: Arizona - Coues Deer Hunt
Fred heads south to the deserts of Arizona seeking a chance at the elusive Coues Deer. He’s hunting with friend, Randy Phillips, who has a surprise in store for him. This year he’s going to give it a try with the Hoyt compound. He's already completed the SuperSlam with a recurve and now hopes to repeat his success with a compound & be the first to complete the quest with both types of bows.
Episode Two: California - Tulle Elk Hunt
Fred is back in California to hunt the beautiful Tule Elk. Always a challenging hunt this one proves to be no less difficult. Doubt sets in after several failed stalks,. Will he end up with a “one that got away” story or will this story have the ending he’s hoping for?
Episode Three: Alaska - Brown Bear Part 1
Fred once again finds himself back in the Alaskan Wilderness with trusted friend and guide Braun Kopsack. He is on the very river where he was charged by a dangerous sow with cubs. To say he needs to be quick on his feet is an understatement. This is real on the ground Brown Bear hunting where the advantage goes to the bears and respect for this fellow predator is a must.
Episode Four: Alaska - Brown Bear Part 2
Fred continues his Alaskan adventure deep in the wilderness. Floating in a inflatable raft miles & miles from anywhere where the weather dictates everything you do. Fred is but a humble participant in the grandeur that is Alaska & her wild inhabitants. It’s a white-knuckle situation as Fred tests his skill against the largest predator this side of the equator.
Episode Five: New Mexico - Elk Hunt
Fred heads to the desolate New Mexican desert for a late season Elk hunt. The weather is frigid and it’s past the rut so he knows it’s going to be a challenging hunt. Seems he’s the only living thing in this lonely wilderness. Not an animal is sighted until it all comes down to one pivotal moment. His chances of getting spotted in this open country are high, but he’ll stop at nothing to get his opportunity at one of these monster elk.
Episode Six: Colorado - Turkey Hunt
Fred takes his biggest critic and fan along for a Colorado Turkey hunt. Fred's adventure with his son Trent threatens to turn to misadventure when Fred must decide between his anniversary dinner with the wife or one final chance at a turkey. Tune in to see if Fred gets a bird and has to sleep on the couch.
Episode Seven: New Mexico - Mule Deer Hunt
Fred starts the year off as he always does—in hunting camp. He can think of no better way to ring in the New Year than freezing in a Ameristep blind waiting for a shot. Fred will have to depend on his skill and experience and this time he’s determined to wait for a big one. Will he be able to hold out, or will his love of wild game meat win out over his desire for bragging rights? Tune in to see if his desire for a trophy is bigger than his appetite.
Episode Eight: Florida - Turkey Hunt
Fred is hunting with his good buddy Al Roberts in the Sunshine state. Fred is fond of the woods here having grown up in Florida. He's come to guide clients & to take a turkey himself. He arrives early, so decides to get some quick action with pheasants on the wing—either way there will be birds on the ground today.
Episode Nine: Easton's 90th anniversary
With our 100th episode we take Fred back to the roots of it all. Fred stops by the Easton plant to meet the new president on the eve of Easton's 90th anniversary. He shows us where his favorite arrows roll off the line right here in the good old USA. After that we head over to the Hoyt plant to see where his signature Buffalo recurve is made. This is your chance at a peek inside the companies that were instrumental in the formation of modern archery.
Episode Ten: Antelope from a tree stand Hunt
Fred has done it all it seems, but he’s never done it quite like this. He’s found a unique location where he thinks he can take an antelope from a tree stand. This is a technique that is rarely used, for good reason antelope live in treeless open country. One long day turns into a long week as Fred begins to wonder if this was a good way to go. He’s determined to prove his idea was a good one.
Episode Eleven: Illinois - Whitetail Hunt
Fred is back in Illinois with his buddy Larry Norton. After driving thru the night to get there on time, his optimism quickly dwindles when the weather takes a nasty turn. Fred came to hunt so despite the weather he drags his camera guy into the rain to make it happen and refuses to go home empty handed.
Episode Twelve: Iowa - Whitetail Hunt
After a successful hunt in Illinois, Fred goes straight to Iowa to continue his whitetail season. Fred's not one to pass up any legal buck, but when he spots a really good one, he gives it a second thought. See if he can keep his cool and make the shot.
Episode Thirteen: Colorado - Elk Hunt
This is one hunt that Fred has to prove his tenacity and skill. He has the advantage of knowing the area well but that is not enough with a full moon and adverse weather conditions. He gets frustratingly close on numerous occasions leaving him wanting the harvest more than ever.
